Rolfe Paul W. Dorweiler, 77 of the Mallard and Rolfe area, died Monday, January 11, 2016 at Unity Point Hospital in Fort Dodge, Iowa. Paul Dorweiler, the son of John and Anna (Ulrich) Dorweiler, was born March 9, 1938, in West Bend, Iowa. He was raised in the West Bend and Mallard area, graduating from the Mallard High School in 1956. On November 13, 1982, he was united in marriage with Donna Harding at Sts. Peter and Paul’s Catholic Church in West Bend. Paul and Donna lived in the West Bend, Mallard and Rolfe area where he farmed and raised hogs.
Survivors include his wife Donna of Rolfe, IA, son Joe of Rolfe, IA, and daughter Kim(Chris) Hanson of Fort Dodge, IA, and his sister Rosemary (Dave) Schuur of Rockwell City, IA. Paul was in the military police in the Army reserves. He also spent many hours woodworking where he made toys and furniture that may people have come to enjoy throughout the years. He contributed these items to any and most all fundraisers in the area.
