Paul V. Shea of Plymouth, formerly of Brighton, MA, passed peacefully on Saturday February 29th with his family by his side. He is the beloved husband of Anne Marie H. (Guillemin) Shea and loving father of Edward Shea of Mansfield, Genevieve Shultz of Yardley, PA., and the late Patricia Wright, of Melrose. Cherished grandfather of Rebecca Wright, Erin Shea, Hunter Shea and Arielle Shultz. Paul was born in Boston on July 10, 1941 and was the son of the late Edward H. and Christine (Scully) Shea. As a young man, Paul attended The Wentworth Institute in Boston, he also served with the US Army for 3 years. During the Blizzard of 1978, Paul, who at the time was serving in the National Guard, was called upon to work clearing the roads in Massachusetts, for his hard work and dedication during this time, Paul was awarded with the Snow Bird Medal. Paul worked for the Gillette Company as a designer while raising his family in Brighton, MA. Paul was a deeply spiritual man who explored and enjoyed many different activities during his life time including running the Boston Marathon. Sharing a passion of travel with Anne Marie, they traveled extensively together to places such as Africa, South America, Australia, Baltic Countries, Russia and Europe. Paul was known for his unique and deep sense of humor. His greatest love was his family and the happy times he spent with them. He also shared a love of good food with his family and was known to sample every pie on a full Thanksgiving table!
