Paul Robinson Scott, Jr. 63, died August 21, 2015, at Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis from cancer.
He was born May 28, 1952, in Indianapolis, Indiana to Paul R. and Ruby (Holiday) Scott.
Always strong and athletic, Paul spent many happy hours as a small boy playing at the family home that stood at 2253 Hillside Avenue in Indianapolis, along with his brother Stephen and sister Paula. He was an award-winning player for Douglas Park Little League, a strong swimmer, and a lifeguard at Douglas Park and at Fox Lake in northern Indiana, where the family had a cottage. He earned a brown belt in judo and participated in the Cub Scouts and Boy Scouts of America.
Paul’s love of music began at an early age, learning piano, coronet, and trumpet.
He attended Indianapolis Public School #38 and graduated from Arsenal Technical High School in Indianapolis in 1970. He attended the Jordan College of Music, Danville Junior College, and IUPUI.
Paul worked for Triangle Sheet Metal Co. as a driver for ten years; he later worked for Federal Express, never missing a day of work in almost nineteen years.
Paul married Marva McCloud Scott on October 9, 2004, in Indianapolis, where they lived in their lovely home on the west side.
Always broad-minded and imaginative, Paul was an avid reader, especially of science fiction and heroic fantasy. But Paul’s imagination found its greatest expression in his music.
