Paul Richard Kaluf age 77, of DeMotte, IN passed away on Monday December 19, 2011 at St. Anthony Medical Center, Crown Point, IN. He was born on June 28, 1934 in Calumet Twp, in Indiana to Richard and Alice (Ooms) Kaluf, both deceased. On November 16, 1956 he married Cornelia Ritsema, who survives.
Paul was in Communications Maintenance for AT & T before retiring in 1994. He was a US Army veteran and member of American Reformed Church where he was an Elder, Sunday School teacher and active in church activities and mission trips. He was also an avid fisherman and gardener. He loved his wife of 55 years, his children and grandchildren. He enjoyed time with his brothers, sisters and their extended families.
Paul is survived by his loving wife, Cornelia Kaluf. Children, Donna (Al) Ooms, DeMotte, IN; Vickie (Steve) Porter, Lincoln, IL; Richard Kaluf, Demotte, IN and William Kaluf of Nebraska and 9 grandchildren. Brothers & sisters, John (Marge) Kaluf, Thelma L’Huillier, Marvin (Anne) Kaluf, Norma (Elmer) VanderMolen and Margie Dykstra all of DeMotte, IN. Preceded in death by his parents and two sisters, Doris Kramer and Alicia Kaluf. Friends may call on Thursday December 22, 2011 from 2-7 PM at Jackson Funeral Service, DeMotte, IN. Funeral Services will be held on Friday December 23, 2011 at 11:00 AM at The American Reformed Church, DeMotte, IN with Pastor Dan Jelsma officiating. Interment at Holland Cemetery, DeMotte, IN with Military Rites.
