Paul Leonard Kenney, 78, of 39 Sunrise Ave, Pawcatuck, died March 8, 2007 at Pendleton Healthcare Center in Mystic after a 4 year struggle with Pancreatic Cancer.

 

He was born in Cambridge, MA on April 14, 1928, the son of the late Dorothea and John Kenney.

 

Paul attended Lunenburg High School in Lunenburg, MA where he served as class president for all four years.  He then entered the Navy where he traveled the world on a goodwill tour following World War II.

 

A resident of Pawcatuck since 1965, he was employed as a machinist at Harris Graphics Corporation until its close in 1989.  He was then employed at Eagle Cab Company as a livery driver for several years until retirement.

 

He was a member of the Westerly Senior Center and very much enjoyed travel, music, dance, baseball, golf, swimming and nature.

 

He will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew him.

 

He is survived by a daughter, Catherine Kenney of Mystic; a brother John Kenney, Jr. of Providence, RI; 2 sisters, Claire Kenney of Westport, MA and Gina Ryan Kenney of Troy, NY, as well as several nieces and nephews and a special friend, Grace McCall of Westerly, RI.  He was predeceased by a sister, Joan Whalen of Northhampton, MA, well as his wife of 27 years, Barbara R. Kenney.
