Paul L. Beck, 86 of Boise Idaho passed away January 19, 2016.

1250 N Linder Rd. Kuna, Idaho.

Paul was born in Elvins Missouri to Alma and Jesse Beck on March 26th 1929. He passed away Tuesday January 19, 2016 of natural causes.  He was the second of 4 Children.  Paul and his 2 brothers and 1 sister were raised on a small farm.  With time the family also came to own a small gas station where Paul and his brothers worked.  Paul graduated from the University of Missouri with a degree in Forestry in 1952.  He served stateside in the U.S. Army during the 1953-1955 and then went to work for the U.S.

Paul moved to Alaska in March of 1960 where he spent the happiest and best years of his life.  Paul worked in Yakutat, Juneau and outlying areas where he also acted as a Guide on Admiralty Island to Sir Edmond Hillary and his family.  Paul then was assigned to Ketchikan as the Recreation and Lands Supervisor. Paul met his wife Joyce and his first two children Kim and Bill in 1967.  Paul and Joyce were married in November 1968 and his daughter Cheryl Lynn was born in 1970.  Paul was a bush pilot and guide as well as a Forrester.  Paul was an avid sportsman with varied interest in big and small game hunting, fishing, hiking and boating.  He shared his appreciation and knowledge of the outdoors with his family.   He retired from the U.S.

Paul is survived by his wife Joyce, 3 children Cheryl Taylor, Bill Wilson, and Kim Wilson His grandchildren Brandi Henry, Trinity Taylor, Lanna Fennema, Josie Wilson, Jake Paul Wilson, Isaac Wilson, Emma Roberts, his two great grandchildren Ezekiel and  Jaxton as well as many loving Friends and family.  He was preceded in death by his parent’s Jesse and Alma, his brother’s Harold and Gene and his little sister Dot.
