Mr. Paul J. Salerno, J.D., age 46, of Branford, formerly of Laurel Beach, Milford, beloved husband of 18 years to Paula J. DeMeola Salerno, passed away suddenly Tuesday, January 6, 2009. Son of Richard A. and Phyllis Simone Salerno of Milford, he was born in Milford on October 18, 1962. Paul was a scholar athlete graduating from Jonathan Law High School. He received his Bachelor’s degree in business at Fairfield University and law degree from Quinnipiac University. Paul was an award winning MetLife financial planner employed by Barnum Financial Group for the past 10 years and for several years hosted a self help financial radio program on WICC. He will be remembered as an avid sailor defined by his quick wit and wonderful sense of humor. He was dearly loved by family and many friends. In addition to his beloved wife and parents, survivors include his two children Andrew and Olivia Salerno of Branford, a brother Richard Salerno and his wife Lisa of Fairfield, three sisters Felicia Arciuolo and her husband Matt of Milford, Claudia Walles and her husband Todd of Glastonbury, Laura Pitaniello and her husband Steve of Fairfield. He is also survived by his father-in-law Andrew DeMeola and his wife Fran of North Haven, two sisters-in-law Dawn Moran and her husband Richard of Hamden, and Andrea Cole and her husband Matt of Hamden, as well as 15 nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his mother-in-law, Roberta DeMeola.
