Paul F. Baugher, 85, a lifetime resident of Ellicott City, Maryland, passed away on May 7, 2017. His family has lived in the area since the 19th century.
Paul was born on November 23, 1931. He graduated from Ellicott City High School and joined the United States Marine Corps in 1951. Paul served in the Marines and received an honorable discharge in January 1954.
After working for the Howard County Sherriff’s department, Paul joined the Howard County Department of Assessments, which later became the State Department of Assessment and Taxation.
Paul married Jean Marie (Saleeze) on June 2, 1972, and they shared 44 wonderful years of marriage.
Paul was a member and trustee of Bethel Baptist Church in Ellicott City. His favorite pastime was caring for his garden and fruit trees on the land where he grew up.
Paul is survived by his spouse, Jean; his step-sons Kenneth L. Cavey (Bridget) of Ellicott City, William B. Cavey (Mary) of Chester, Va., Robert D. Cavey (Linda) of Hagerstown, MD; his daughter Sharon K. McDonald (Michael); and his loving and beloved grandchildren and great grandchildren.
