Paul Emerson Judd, Entrepreneur, Extrovert, Patriarch, Husband, and Adventurer, passed away unexpectedly at his home in Leeds on June 14, 2021. He leaves behind a remarkable legacy of companionship to scores of friends and family that will miss him dearly.
Paul was born on November 17, 1950, at Cooley Dickinson Hospital in Northampton to Helen and Wallace Judd.
Paul was a living example of J.R.R. Tolkien’s maxim that “not all who wander are lost”, as he embraced life with an adventurous spirit, traveling throughout the world in connection with his business. Paul was never a stranger anywhere, communicating with people effortlessly wherever he roamed. He had a gusto for life, a love of laughter, and he cherished the companionship of family, friends, and even complete strangers. Paul was an avid golfer, enjoyed bicycling far and wide, and was an animal lover of the highest order. He was fond also of driving his black corvette, along with anyone brave enough to tag along. Paul leaves his wife Julie Judd, his step-children Jessica, James and Jeremia, along with their families, including his six grandchildren who lovingly referred to him as “Grampa Paul”, a name synonymous with fun. He also leaves his sister Nancy Graham, his brother Robert Judd, and his sister Cathy Person. He is predeceased by his brother, William Judd. Paul’s beloved nieces, nephews, and their children will also miss his infectious laughter and loving spirit. Paul will always be remembered for his bright smile, blue eyes, and friendly demeanor.
