Paul “Bob” Carolan, Sr., 77, of Holiday City Berkeley section of Berkeley Twsp., NJ died peacefully at home surrounded by loved ones on Tuesday October 31, 2017. Bob was born in Newark, NJ and lived in Union, NJ until moving to Berkeley Twsp., NJ in 2007. He worked as a sheet metal worker for 40 years in Union Local #25 in Carlstadt, NJ and for Allied Sheet Metal in West Caldwell, NJ. Bob was the Past President of the Holy Name Society for Holy Spirit Church in Union, NJ being named Man of the Year.
He was a member of the High Rollers Bowling, Carefree Darts, Carefree Men’s Club and a volunteer on the Holiday City First Aid. Bob was a parishioner of St. Maximilian Kolbe RC Church in Berkeley Twsp., NJ. He cherished his family and his friends. Bob is predeceased by his parents Peter and Catherine Carolan and his wife Elizabeth “Betty” Carolan. Surviving are his children Paul R. Carolan, Jr. of Toms River, NJ, Greg Carolan of Florida and Lynn D’Antico and her husband Michael of Warren, NJ; his sister Karen Carolan of Toms River, NJ and his grandchildren Michael III, London and Jacqueline.
