Paul A. FriebergMay 27, 1950-December 9, 2021Paul A. Frieberg, age 71 years, died on Thursday December 9, 2021, after a long and valiant battle with Polycythemia Vera and Multiple Myeloma. He was born in Jamestown, NY to Reverend Arthur M. Frieberg and Phyllis G. Frieberg on May 27, 1950. Subsequent new church callings led the family from Frewsburg, NY to Bergenfield, NJ and then to Tenafly, NJ which were the homes of Paul’s early education. He attended Mackay Elementary School and Tenafly High School through his Junior year. Another move to Devon, PA. found Paul attending and graduating from Conestoga High School in 1968. Paul then attended Penn State University where he was a member of Alpha Chi Sigma. At Penn State he met and later married Elaine Chandler Frieberg. They were married for 47 was a proud owner and President of PyroPure, Inc trading as Pyromet and Sun Valley Film Wash. He spent many fruitful years as a silver smelter recovering silver from photographic and X-ray emulsions. He sold his interest and retired in 2006. Paul’s interests included woodworking, golfing with his fraternity brothers, doing crossword puzzles, cryptograms and Sudokus. Paul and his family hosted a number of exchange students and chaperones from Puriscal, Costa Rica and Argentina. Those personal relationships continued into the students’ adulthood. They still return for visits with the Friebergs. Paul will be remembered for his infectious smile and laughter, his story-telling abilities, and his devotion to family and his untold number of always counted his wealth in the friendships that he developed over the years. Most who knew Paul would describe him as the life of the party.Survivors: His beloved wife, Elaine C. Frieberg, 2 children: son, Justin (Christine), daughter, Rebecca K Angley(Luke), 4 sisters: Kristine Hughey(Richard), Faith Woodward (Roland), Deborah Chubb, Priscilla Conrad Auer (William), and his brother-in-law, Gary Chandler.4 grandchildren: Rosalyn Frieberg, Chandler Frieberg, Zoey Mues, Mason Mues, numerous nieces and nephews.
