Patty D. Lawrence, 73, of Fortville, passed away Saturday, July 6, 2013 at her home surrounded by her family. She was born November 27, 1939 in Halfway, KY to the late Bradford and Lola (Smith) Oliver. She was a member of Mt. Union Baptist Church in Halfway, KY and enjoyed playing cards. She worked at J.C. Penney’s for 17 years.
Patty is survived by her husband Joe whom she married on June 22, 1957 in Halfway, KY; son Marc D. (Tammy) Lawrence of Fortville; son Matthew D. (Delores) Lawrence of Bloomington; daughter Michele D. (Greg) Anderson of Indianapolis; seven grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; brother Veldon Oliver of Greenfield; and numerous cousins. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son Monte D. Lawrence; brother Weldon Oliver; and sisters Leopha Hearn and Betty House.
