Patricia Ann Albright, 81 of Greenwood, passed away peacefully on February 7th, 2022. She was born on January 31, 1941 in Indianapolis to the late Urban “Urb” and Margaret “Peg” (Sheridan) Albright.
Patty grew up on the southwest side of Indianapolis and graduated from Decatur Central High School in 1959. She sang soprano in the Indiana National Bank choir, volunteered at her children’s grade school, and helped her parents grow and sell corn, strawberries and tom-a-toes at their house on Mann Road. There was not a person that Patty didn’t like, and it would be hard to find anyone who didn’t like Patty – she meant a lot to many people. She was a good listener and was not afraid to speak her mind. She loved to play games – most days you would find her playing euchre, hand and foot, dominoes or bingo. Her favorite was playing Catch Phrase with her kids and grandkids.
Survivors include her children, Pam (Gaylan) Yates of Oklahoma City, OK., Jerry (Stacy) Smotherman of Greenwood, James (Stephanie) Smotherman of Greenwood; grandchildren, Cooper (Nicole) Yates, Katie (Adam) Doerr, Carson (Tess) Yates, Sydney, Abbey, Bryce Smotherman, Tyler Smotherman; great granddaughter, Emerson Yates; and sisters, Diane (Marvin) Taylor, Ginger (Jerry) Cox, and Kathy Albright. Her parents and siblings, Dolores “Dodo” Stevens and Jerome Albright, preceded her in death.
