Patsy Ruth Clark, 86, died September 1, 2015 in Canon City. She was born in a cotton field on September 23, 1928 in Maysville, Oklahoma to John Seaborn and Mary Florence Lowe. One of five children, she lived in rural Oklahoma her entire childhood, attending one-room schools and graduating from high school at the age of 16. After high school, she attended Oklahoma College for Women. She and her family spent many years during her childhood picking and hoeing cotton, and working in the fields. On March 19, 1948, she married Charles Robert Clark, who preceded her in death. At the time of his death, they had been married 65 years. She and Charles loved and raised four children, Mel, Melanie, Nancy, and Dianne. Patsy devoted her life to her family. She is remembered for being selfless, wise, comforting, and strong. She led by example, had the patience of a saint, and never spoke an unkind word about anyone.
