Patrick Joseph McCabe, 91, of Manchester, NJ, passed away February 22, 2018. Born in the townland of Greaghnafarna, County Cavan, Ireland, he lived in Ireland, England and Canada before immigrating to the US in 1961 and raising his family in Jackson, NJ. He was predeceased by his loving wife of 60 years, Elizabeth McCabe, nine of his siblings and his grandson Ryan McCabe.
Patrick is is survived by his children Nial and Linda McCabe, Shannon McCabe Brennan, Brian McCabe, John McCabe, Paul and Erica McCabe, Mark and Jennifer McCabe, Thomas McCabe and grandchildren Meredith and Jarrett McCabe Elsea, Courtney and Matthew Capogrosso, Kelly Brennan, Maggie Brennan, Alison McCabe, Daniel McCabe, Keegan McCabe, Emma McCabe, Katie McCabe and Ethan McCabe and great-grandchildren Reese Elsea, Piper Elsea, Leighton Capogrosso and Jude Capogrosso.
Patrick is also survived by his brother, Phelim in England and many others relatives and friends in Ireland, England, Canada and the US. Patrick worked for Glidden Paint for 16 years and retired from Paul Kimball Hospital where he worked as an operating engineer.
Patrick will be remembered for his sparkling blue eyes, full head of hair and quick wit as well as his special ability to fix anything, his interest in steam engines, and his love of literature, music, the History Chanel, the beach and his family.
