Patrick E. DiLauri, 72, of Holiday City West section of Berkeley Township passed away on Tuesday, March 9, 2021.  Born in Montclair, NJ, Patrick lived most of his life in Essex County before moving to Holiday City a few years ago.

Drafted into the US Army in 1968, Patrick served as an M60 gunner in the 1st Infantry Division during the Vietnam War. He received The Purple Heart for injuries sustained in combat. His military service is a source of pride for his family.

Patrick was a hard-working trucker driver with Teamsters Local 560.  Fun-loving and easy-going, he was a friend to all who knew him. Patrick will remain steadfast a hero in the hearts of his daughter and grandson.

Patrick is survived by his loving daughter Jennifer and her husband Nick Lancia of Roseland, NJ, his beloved grandson Nicholas Lancia, III, his brother Joseph and his wife Deena, longtime companion Brenda Grillo, Jennifer’s mother Antonia DiLauri, nephews, nieces, cousins and many more who loved him. Patrick would have wanted to acknowledge the care he received in later years from his cousin, Grace Falzarano.
