Patricia (Loutzenhiser) Sutherin Stoita, 86, of Salem passed away on Saturday afternoon, January 4, 2014 after a short illness. Pat was a 1946 graduate of Salem High School, where she was active in the school plays and riding horses. She, along with her husband, John enjoyed dancing every weekend at the VFW. She worked at Hunt Valve and later retired from the Columbiana County Courthouse. Pat was a lifelong member of St. Paul Catholic Church in Salem. She was preceded in death by her parents, Joe and Mary Loutzenhiser, first husband, Paul Russell Sutherin; second husband, John Stoita; three sisters, Viola (Gene) Lease, Margaret (Del) Shaffer, and Mary Ellen (Matt) Green; and four brothers, William Loutzenhiser, Joseph (Helen) Loutzenhiser, Richard (Margie) Loutzenhiser, and Don (Helen) Loutzenhiser. Pat is survived by her children: daughter, Paula Wright of Beloit and a son, Russell (Diane) Sutherin of Salem; a sister, Roseanne (Ronnie) Hannay of Salem; a sister-in-law, Betty (Abe) Bricker of Salem; five grandchildren, Kathy (Dan) Williams, Shawn Wright, Heather (Matt) Sutherin, Shannon (Kim) Shroyer, and Russell (Alycia) Sutherin; and nine great-grandchildren. Her life revolved around her family: having parties, cooking meals, reading to the little ones and going to everything they participated in. She never missed the opportunity to get together with family.
