WINSTED – Patricia “Patty” Ruth (Strattman) Nash, 61, wife of David A, Nash of Winsted, CT, died at home August 2nd, 2019 surrounded by her loving family, after a long illness. Patty was born December 24, 1957 in Poughkeepsie, N.Y. to Irving Samuel and Anne Francis (Hall) Strattman, but was raised by her loving grandparents, Harold B. and Mary E. Strattman in East Canaan, CT. She graduated Housatonic Valley Regional High School in 1975.After graduation, Patty did a bit of traveling to different parts of the country. She also tried her hand at all kinds of jobs from Mechanic to Real Estate and finally became a Certified Nursing Assistant, which she thoroughly enjoyed. She met her husband Dave in January of 1993 and they married July 4, 2002. Her hobbies were helping Dave restore their house to it’s original splendor and poetry, some of which has been published. She also had a great love for God and had read her Bible every day and could recite certain passages verbatim. Besides her husband Dave, she leaves two sisters, Mary Anne Mathison of Morristown, TN and Helen E. Richardson of Falls Village, CT; one aunt, Mary E. Osborne of Norfolk, CT; her in-laws, several cousins, nieces, nephews, grand- nieces and grand-nephews, as well as her two cats Ninja and Peanut.
