Patricia “Patty” Ann Harris, 66, passed away on September 2nd, 2020. She was born to Robert and Dorothy (Bundy) Smith on May 20th, 1954 in Indianapolis, Indiana. Patty was a homemaker with experience in upholstery and for a time, selling Avon cosmetics.
Patty was a graduate from Ben Davis High School after attending George Washington High School. Patty loved people and was the president of the We Care Neighborhood Association and had volunteered with Keep Indianapolis Beautiful. She remained actively involved in her community until her passing . Patty was lovingly referred to as the “Mayor of Jackson Street.” She was very artistic and crafty, she enjoyed activities like painting, ceramics, upholstery, and listening to music.
Patty is preceded in death by her husband Boyd Harris III, sister Dottie, brother Doug Miller, mother Dorothy Smith, father Robert Smith, mother-in-law Lula Harris, and father-in-law Boyd Harris II. She leaves behind her daughters Shana Grever (Robert Grever II), Nola Harris-Hunt (James Miller), brother Mike Miller (Brenda Miller) grandchildren Justin Hunt (Jessica Caffery), Robert Lee Grever III (Jordain Kinnett), Logan Grever (Lucy Bales), Karinna Gbegan (Thiery Gbegan), and Ezekiel Caffery, great-grandchildren Landon Hunt, Grayson Hunt, Raelynn Grever, and Berklee Grever, six sisters in law, many nephews and nieces, and numerous great-nieces and nephews, and bountiful friends, family, and people who loved her dearly.
