Patricia “Patti” Ann Jensen Wangsgard
Patricia “Patti” Ann Jensen Wangsgard peacefully passed away on July 22, 2016. Her passing was a result of complications after a fall.
Patti was born at home on May 6, 1934 in Brigham City, Utah. Her parents are Parley William Jensen and Sadie Marie Dunn Jensen.
The happiest day of her life was when she met Lew A. Wangsgard. They were sealed together forever on September 2, 1955 in the Salt Lake Temple.
She said the most wonderful time of her life was raising their two daughters, Jill and Jan. She was so proud of them and all of their accomplishments.
Patti graduated from Box Elder High School. She was a cheerleader and the life of the party. No one could tell a story and make you laugh like Patti. Patti brought a smile to everyone she met.
She attended Weber College. When she was younger she worked at Hollywood Candy Company. Later she worked as a teller in the banking business for many years, and for Ogden Auto Parts.
She served in various LDS callings and dedicated her life to serving others. But she often said her most important calling, and most enjoyable, was being a wife and mother. Patti always believed in having a house of order, a house of faith, and a house of prayer (D&C 88:119). She had a firm testimony of the gospel of Jesus Christ. She was an ELEGANT lady who endured to the end.
She will be sorely missed by so many loved ones and friends.
Patti is survived by her husband, Lew; 2 daughters, Jill and Jan; special granddaughter, Lyla; sister, D’On Wachtler; brother, Newell (Merese) Jensen; and many cousins, nieces, nephews, and dear friends.
