Patricia “Pat” Ann Smith Lester, 90, of Morehead, former longtime resident of Phelps in Pike County, passed away on Friday, February 5, 2021, at her home after a lingering illness.
She was born at McCarr on June 20, 1930. She was preceded in death by her parents, Tom C. and Effie (Blackburn) Tilley; her husbands, Frank Smith and William N. Lester, Jr.; two sons, Frankie “Bucky” Edward Smith and Gene Edward Smith; a daughter, Soundra Jean Smith; and her siblings.
She is survived by her son, James (Audrey) Smith of Phelps; stepson, David L. (Rebecca) Lester of Jeffersonville; and four daughters, Joann (Larry) Moore, Lois Marney Maness, and Connie S. Smith, all of Morehead, and Angela Hays of Louisville; 14 grandchildren: Jamie, Kelli (Ronnie), Kristie, Scott (Tammy), Christopher Dane, Skylar, Tara (Ryan), Brandon, Frankie, Taza, Jamar (Arionia), Seth, Tate, and Malcolm; 14 great-grandchildren: Khloë, Jocelyn, Maguire, Këona, Dawson, Mackenzie, Alyssa, Hunter, Hayden, LeNae, LeRon, Jasmine, Jada, and Tatum; and a host of nieces and nephews.
