Patricia “Pat” Ann Jepsen, 74, of Spirit Lake passed away on Friday, March 26, 2021 at Lakes Regional Healthcare in Spirit Lake. Patricia (Pat) Ann Jepsen was born in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, December 4, 1946. Pat’s parents, Henry and Esther Jepsen adopted Pat from the Lutheran Home in Fort Dodge, Iowa, when she was four months old. Pat was baptized and confirmed in the Immanuel Lutheran Church, Missouri Synod. Her faith became very important, loving her church. Pat married Ron Coleman her senior year of high school at Spirit Lake. Ron joined the military and they traveled many states and while stationed in Mountain Home, Idaho, Pat received her high school diploma. They then were stationed in Alaska. Later, they divorced and Pat returned to Spirit Lake. Pat worked numerous jobs throughout her career including the Spirit Lake Beacon, Lakes Print Shop, Ace Hardware and was a tremendous help in running the family business of Jepsen’s Cottages. (Cleaning many fish with her dad) Everyone knew Pat’s love of NASCAR, knowing on race days not to call or visit. Pat was loved by all who knew her as she was always willing to lend a helping hand. Pat always greeted everyone with a smile that will never be forgotten. Pat is preceded in death by her father, Henry Jepsen in 1982, and also grandparents, John F Abbe and Hertha (Marth) Abbe, H. Henry Jepsen and Hilda (Iverson) Jepsen. Pat is survived by her mother, Esther, many cousins and other relatives and friends. Two special guys, who are always there for Pat and Esther in times of need, Larry Coleman and Doug Harms.
