Patricia M. Lewis, nee Murphy, of St Charles, Illinois left this earth on November 4th, 2012.
Survivors include her beloved children Ann (John) Ritchie of Geneva and John Lewis of Winfield; grandchildren Nick Ritchie and Emily Ritchie; several nieces and nephews; and brother Jerry Murphy.
Patricia was a registered nurse who served 26 months in the Army during the Korean War. She worked as a staff nurse at many hospitals, home health and nursing homes and as Director of Nursing in the IL Department of Corrections. In addition, Patricia taught nursing at several higher education institutions. She loved gardening, reading, shopping and caring for the aged. She regretted never seeing Ireland, from where her paternal grandfather emigrated.
Patricia was preceded in death by her parents, Chester and Madeline (Stoker) Murphy, sister Dorothy and brothers James and Gene.
