Passed away on Monday, April 2, 2018, at the age of 78. Patricia was born in Kalamazoo on September 23, 1939, the daughter of the late Elton Day and Gladys Pallett Day.
She retired from Borgess Hospital after many years of service. She was united in marriage with Lewis Edward Lipes on February 28, 1960.
She is survived by her husband; five children, Edward (Sharon) Lipes Jr., Annie (Jeff) Reicherts, Joyce (James) Ashley, Sheri (Paul) Meadows, Terri (Scott) Connor, Donnie (Anjie) Day; fifteen grandchildren, Brandon Lipes, Ashleigh Lipes, Heather (Michael) Kirkpatrick, Kerri (Chris) Totten, Katherine (William) Whitehead, Carolyn (Brandon) Heighton, John Connor, Stephanie Ashley, Garrett Meadows, Doug Connor, Kayla (Lance) Ackley, Mackenzie Connor, Jacob Reicherts, Casey Day, Dillon Day; ten great-grandchildren, Rylee Kirkpatrick, Lucas Totten, Lilly Totten, Allison Feathers, Reece Kirkpatrick, Hazel Rae Whitehead, Greyson Heighton, Logan Totten, Harper Whitehead, Lincoln Heighton; her sister, Elizabeth Fox; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her son, Paul Lipes; 10 siblings; and several nieces and nephews. Patricia was very family oriented and loved spending as much time as possible with her grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
