Wasilla resident, Patricia Kay Kuzik, 74, passed away at her home from renal failure on April 22, 2019.

Patricia was born on November 28, 1944 in Madison, Wisconsin to Jerome and Golda (Stocks) Sperry. On May 22, 1967 she married Robert H. Kuzik in Kenosha, Wisconsin. In July of 2009, Patricia retired from Aurora Hospital where she had worked as a housekeeper for the past nine years. In November 2009, after 42 years of marriage, Patricias husband passed away. After her husbands passing; Patricia traveled to South Carolina for a brief time before making the move to Wasilla, Alaska in May of 2010 and settling in with her daughter. Since moving to Alaska, Patricia had attended services at Rise Chapel. She loved playing Bingo, watching TV and visiting with her children, grandchildren and siblings. She loved when she was able to travel and visit family, between South Carolina, Wisconsin and Denver. And she enjoyed the time they spent visiting her in Alaska. The family stated “She will always be remembered for her heart of gold and love for her family. She was kind, nurturing and had a beautiful soul; when she loved you, she loved you with all of her heart.”

Patricia is survived by sons, Jerome Hammersley of Wasilla, Alaska, Bob and wife, Ruthie Hammersley and Mark and wife, Jennifer Kuzik of South Carolina; daughter, Dawn and husband, Kenny Wasson of Wasilla, Alaska; grandsons Michael (Diane) Nietupski of Racine Wisconsin, Dennis Stead of South Carolina, Steven (Christine) Hammersley of South Carolina, Jeremy Janis of Wasilla, Alaska, and Michael (Caitlyn) Blair of Anchorage, Alaska; granddaughters Pammy Stead of South Carolina, Jennifer (Kirby) Puckett of Parker, Colorado, Kassandra Wasson of Wasilla, Alaska, Jessica Wasson of Wasilla, Alaska, Rachel Wasson of Anchorage, Alaska, Breanna (Jeff) Hause of Rice Lake, Wisconsin, Adilynn Kuzik of Gray Court, South Carolina and Railynn Kuzik of Gray Court, South Carolina; as well as four sisters, six brothers and 22 great grandchildren. She will be missed by her two best friends Jojo and Sharon Monday. She is preceded in death by her husband, Robert H. (Polock) Kuzik; her parents, Jerome and Golda Sperry; daughter, Debbie Nietupski; granddaughter, Reagan and her sister, Mary.
