Mrs. Patricia Hughes, 72 of Kalispell MT, passed away peacefully at home with her daughter by her side.

At a young age her family moved to Orlando FL. In her Senior year of High School she met the love  of her life Robert “Pete” Hughes. After graduating they married and moved to Bartow FL. Pat, loved to scuba dive and hunt and spent lots of time in their canoe.  They had one daughter, Evelyn who was born in 1965.  Later In 1974, Pete’s work as an electrical engineer took them to Libby MT.  The beauty of the state captured her heart.

After Pete’s death, Pat moved to Kalispell to be closer to her daughter and family.  She had lived with them for the past six years.  She cherished her time spent with Jonathon and Patrick and was very proud of the young men they had become.  Her other Grandsons,  Colby and Taylor were devoted to her and she treasured being a part of their lives as well as their Father Dale.

Pat is remembered for her infectious laugh, warm hugs and wicked sense of humor.  She had a gift for caring and nurturing.  She was always willing to help encourage people with their ideas and dreams.  She was the inspiration and an enormous partner when Evelyn and friend,  Barbra Fraser decided to throw caution to the wind and open an antique store.
