Patricia Becker, age 79, of Bode passed away on August 24, 2020 at her home surrounded by family. Patricia Valeria O’Brien, was born on February 20, 1941 in Algona, Iowa. She graduated from St. Joseph Catholic High School in 1958. On November 30, 1968 Pat was united in marriage with Allan J (Al) Becker at the St. Joseph Catholic Church residing in Cedar Rapids until 1974 when the family moved to Humboldt. In 1976, Pat opened the original Home Federal Savings & Loan branch in Humboldt. In 1985 she became Branch Manager of the Northwest Federal Savings Bank in Humboldt retiring as Vice-President in 2007, continuing to help her husband farm. She then served as a Board member of West Fork Services until 2009. As a dedicated professional, she loved making a positive impact on the community and served as a member of the Humboldt Chamber of Commerce, St. Mary’s Ladies Society Treasurer, Humboldt Athletic Board Booster and the Humboldt Noon Kiwanis. Pat was passionate about her family, community, and faith. She loved the outdoors, family vacations, and spending time with grandchildren. She enjoyed traveling whenever possible and was always open for a new adventure, and loved living life. Left to cherish Pat’s memory is her husband of 51 years, Al; children, Deb Becker-Gatrost and her husband Chip of Ankeny, Sue Fevold and her husband Mark of Bode and David Becker and his wife Gena of Humboldt; grandchildren, Bryce (Courtney) and Nathan Russell, Reid Taggart, Dylan and Sydney Gatrost; five great grandchildren; and a sister, Sandy White of Spirit Lake. She was preceded in death by her parents, Hubert & Sylvia O’Brien and two sisters, Sharon Lemkee of Irvington, Mary Hejlik of Nashville Il and brother in-laws Gene Lemkee of Irvington and Ron White of Sioux City.
