Patricia Batson Jones, 87 of 756 Hopewell Road, Dry Fork, Va. died Saturday, March 5, 2011 at Danville Regional Medical Center. Mrs. Jones was born Feb. 3, 1924 in Lynchburg, Va. to the late Culver Batson and the late Gladys Smith Batson. Mrs. Jones was married to the late Harold E. “Pete†Jones Jr. Mrs. Jones served in the US Navy for a brief period of time. She was a graduate of E.C. Glass High School in Lynchburg, Va. Mrs. Jones worked for Star Laundry and Sears Roebuck as a secretary. She attended Emmanuel Pentecostal Holiness Church. She is survived by one daughter Carol Yeatts of Dry Fork, Va., one son Harold E. “Pete†Jones III and wife Cathy of Danville, one sister Ann Rude of Woodbridge, Va. In addition to her parents and husband she is also predeceased by two brothers Kelly Batson and Bud Batson.
