Patricia Ann Maas, 70, of Donnell Lake in Vandalia, Michigan, formerly of Dyer, Indiana and Pekin, Illinois, passed away at 11 a.m. Sunday, April 24, 2016 at her home. Born February 12, 1946 in Pekin to Robert Elmer and Mary Frances (Gouker) Tucker, she married Larry Dean Maas on August 16, 1964 in Pekin. They were lovingly married for 52 years. He survives.

Also surviving are one daughter, Lorrie Christine (Geoffrey) Romer of Dyer, Indiana; one son, Sean Robert (Sara) Maas of LaPorte, Indiana; one sister, Mary Alice “Chic” Bullock of Georgia; one nephew, Dirk Edward (Shay) Bullock of Georgia and one grandniece, Kaitlynn Bullock; and many very close friends and family on Donnell Lake, in Dyer, Indiana and Pekin, Illinois.

She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, James Tucker.Patricia worked as a Research Manager for The Times in Munster, Indiana for 15 years, retiring in 2005 and previously at the Dirksen Congressional Center in Pekin. Patricia studied accounting and business law at Illinois Central College. She was a member of the National Honor Society. A devoted wife and mother, Patricia loved to travel abroad, especially visiting Italy, where her daughter once lived and many Caribbean Islands especially St. Thomas, where her son and daughter-in-law were married. She also enjoyed her time spent on the lake and visiting the many museums, restaurants and shopping in Chicago.

Patricia was an avid reader and gourmet cook as well as enjoying spending time flower gardening. She loved playing golf with her husband and her father at the Pekin Country Club, where she was a longtime member before moving away. Patricia was a member of the First Baptist Church in Pekin.
