Mrs. Kunkel passed away early Saturday, April 28, 2018 at McLaren Bay Region. Age 78 years. The daughter of the late Edward and Blanche Corrion was born February 21, 1940 in Munger, MI. She was a member of St. Paul Ev. Lutheran Church of Frankenlust. Her and her husband were the former owners of Bay City Towing (Kunkel’s) for over fifty years. Mrs. Kunkel retired worked for Dawn/Dunkin Donuts. She was a member of the A.B.W.A. and Valley Aero Club. She enjoyed spending time with her family, going to the casino and flying with her husband.
Left to cherish her memories are her husband, Richard Kunkel whom she married November 12, 1960; her children, Steven Kunkel I and Keith (Karen) Kunkel; her grandchildren, Steven (Brittany) Kunkel II, Nathen Torres, Justen Torres, Kyler and Kody Kunkel; her great grandchildren, Leah, Lelan and Natheniel; her brothers and sisters, Raymond (Noreen) Corrion, Lorraine (Richard) McNally, Lois Englehardt, Jane (Charles) Collins and Paul (Susan) Corrion; her sisters-in-law, Ila Corrion and Mary Corrion; her brother-in-law, Ervin (Ursula) Kunkel; two foster children, Kathy and Jamie; many nieces and nephews; her special friends, Tina and Kayla. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her brothers, sisters and brothers-in-law, Joseph Corrion, Elaine and Eugene Jacobs, William Corrion, Richard Englehardt, Robert Corrion and Janet Corrion.
