Patricia A. Combs, 72, of Jacksonville, IL died Friday, July 25, 2014 at her residence.
She was born November 25, 1941 in rural Pike County, IL, the daughter of Fred J. and Mary Pearl Knapp Hayn. She married Martin L. “Oz” Combs Jr. on March 7, 1958 at the First Baptist Church parsonage in Jacksonville and he survives.
She is also survived by three children, Nathan Jon Combs of Jacksonville, FL, Lisa Renee Bennett (husband, James) of Salem, OR, and Marilena Clark (husband, Michael) of Mt. Sterling; eight grandchildren; several great grandchildren; three sisters, Marie Grinkey (husband, Gerald) of Wisconsin, Carolyn Jean Taylor of Jacksonville, and Mary Ellen Weinant of Lynnville; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and a son in infancy, Mark Anthony Combs.
Patricia attended Jacksonville High School and was a certified Nursing Assistant for Modern Care Nursing Home. She enjoyed reading, sewing, crocheting, basket weaving, and traveling.
