Katheryn Patricia Avara, better known as Miss Pat, 83, of Glen Burnie, passed away on April 29, 2022. She was born in Baltimore, Maryland, on July 14, 1938, to the late Lillian and Bartholomew Connors. Pat attended Anne Arundel Community College and became a teacher’s assistant for several Anne Arundel County elementary schools for 41 years. She loved being with her family, gardening, crafting, sewing, quilting, scrapbooking, and cooking.
Pat was predeceased by her devoted husband, Gregory S. Avara, and her siblings, Bart, Mike, and Eileen Connors. She is survived by her loving children, Gregory P. Avara and his wife Laura, Kathy Ellis and her husband Ron, and Paula Avara-Brown and her husband Al; her cherished grandchildren, Sharon Vail and her husband Scott, Jason Haskell, Avara Brown, and Zoe Brown; her beloved great-granddaughter, Ava Brown; and her dear siblings, Mary Tanner and Butch Connors and his wife Carol, and sister-in-law, Peggy Connors.
