Pansy (Pat) Louise Clayton, 93, of West Lafayette, IN, went to rest with Jesus on May 22nd, 2022. She was born April 16, 1929, in Indianapolis, IN, to Josephine Alice (Curtis) Cunningham and Clarence B. Cunningham.
Pansy was a member of the Presbyterian Church. She was a Cub Scout leader, 4H leader, PTA board member, and lifetime member of Beta Sigma Phi. She enjoyed crocheting, knitting, reading, and puzzles. Most of all she enjoyed being with her family.
Educated in Indianapolis, IN, schools, she worked at L.S. Ayres before meeting the love of her life, Donald F. Clayton. Pansy (Cunningham) married Donald Clayton on February 7, 1949, in Indianapolis, IN. He preceded her in death on Dec 13, 2016. She was a homemaker and loving mother to their three sons, who survive her: Dr. Donald (Mindy) Clayton of Lafayette, IN; Dr. Michael (Terri) Clayton of Danville, IL; and Gerald (Janet Lemen) Clayton of Bloomington, IN. Also surviving are six beloved grandchildren: Tom Clayton, Missy (Andrew) Buche, Lauren (Tyler) Rossi, Joanna Clayton, Sheila Clayton, and Charlotte (Joel) Lelliott; and six great-grandchildren: Allye Clayton, Isabel Buche, Isaac Buche, Jacob Buche, Sophia Guyette Clayton, and Zosia Lelliot. She was preceded in death by her parents, sisters, and grandson Andrew Clayton.
