Pamella K. Shay, 78, of Middletown, passed away on December 14, 2021, at the Middletown Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Middletown, IN. She was born on September 1, 1943, in Portland, Indiana.
Pamella graduated from Portland High School and Amber Beauty School where she later taught. She is a retired hairdresser and master cosmetologist. She worked at several salons including Mane Lines, John Jay & Company, Head West, and Carla’s Studio. She enjoyed flowers, gardening, painting, playing with her dogs, and going to car shows with her husband.
Pamella is survived by her loving spouse of 25 years, John Shay; daughters, Amanda Clouse (John Coulter) and Stephanie (Stephen) VanMatre; and her dogs, Harrison, Sadie, and grandcat, Edgar.
She was preceded in death by her father, Henry Jacob Ramsey, who died shortly after her birth, after receiving a Purple Heart for his service in the Army; mother, Geraldine Ramsey; grandmother, Valeria Grace Williamson, and aunt, Gwen McDaniels.
