WALES- Pamela J. Bourque, 49, a lifelong resident here passed away unexpectedly at home on January 17, 2021. She was born a free spirit on August 28, 1971, the daughter of the late Ronald R. Bourque, Sr and Judith Ann (Taylor) Bourque of Wales who survives her.
She worked for over 10 years at Baystate Medical Center but primarily was a homemaker and mom. She loved NASCAR and was an avid Jimmy Johnson and Chevy fan. She attended numerous race events, including the Daytona 500 several times and during downtime could be found sitting in a stream, brook or a body of water that she found along her journey reading a book. She volunteered for many years at Old Sturbridge Village and her favorite spot was in the herb gardens.
Her thoughtful, caring and amazing ways will be deeply missed by her husband, Charlie Smith of Wales and by her two daughters, Alex Smith and Jillian Smith of Wales. In addition, her smart, beautiful and courageous ways will be missed by her grandson, Aiden Smith of Wales, her mother Judi and by her siblings, Andrew Bourque, Paul Bourque and Michelle Doyle all of Wales. She also leaves several nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends to continue celebrating her life.
