Prospect – Mrs. Pamela J. (DiMaria) Walsh, age 60 of Prospect passed away Tuesday, June 30, 2015 in the VITAS Unit at St. Mary’s Hospital surrounded by her loving family. She was the beloved wife of James J. Walsh for 31 years. Mrs. Walsh was born April 19, 1955, in Waterbury, a daughter of the late Anthony and Josephine (Rosa) DiMaria. She was employed as a Medical Coding Compliance Specialist at UCONN Health Center. Prior to that, Pamela managed Dr. Anthony Sterling’s medical practice for 25 years and later for Dr. Neil Miller. Taking care of her family was her main priority in life and she took great pride in her family. She was a caring and thoughtful person who was willing to help anyone in any way she could. Besides her husband James, she is survived by her son Joseph Walsh and her daughters Alison and Lindsay Walsh all of Prospect, her sister Carmella Swan of Naugatuck and her brother Michael DiMaria and his wife Claudette of Cheshire, her mother and father In-law John and Jean Walsh of Middlebury, sister-in-law Kathleen Gentile and her husband Thomas of Waterbury and sister-in-law Eileen Lemay and her husband Reale of Watertown. Pamela’s passions included UCONN women’s basketball and making her famous homemade meatballs. She was always happiest when she was with her family, whether it was shopping and getting pedicures with her daughters or cheering loudly at her son’s baseball games. Her favorite place to be was Aruba on family vacations, watching the sunset with her feet in the sand.
