Paula Pam Fortado, 60, of Jacksonville, died Thursday, November 15, 2007, at Memorial Medical Center in Springfield.
She was born Nov. 18, 1946, in Jacksonville, the daughter of David and Lela Louise Trotter Fortado.
She is survived by her husband, Robert J. Lasley; one son, Willrob Canby (wife, Polly) Gibson of Navarre Beach, Fla.; one daughter, Theresa Tockstein (husband, Ed LaCasse) of Seattle, Wash.; one granddaughter, Stephanie of Seattle; one brother, David Fortado of Jacksonville; and seven grand puppies.
Pam was a 1964 graduate of Jacksonville High School. She has been employed as an Outdoors Writer. She had a desire in her heart to take broken people and fix them. She tried to take shards and scraps of broken souls, lives, and people, and make them whole again.
