Mary Page Covington Ellison passed away on September 23, 2015 at her home in Rockville, MD.

Page, as she was known by family and friends, was born on March 29, 1957 in Baltimore Maryland. She was the beloved wife of Ollie B. Jefferson Ellison, Jr., Special Agent at the Department of State, the daughter of Octavius McRae Covington (deceased) and Regina Barbarella Covington (deceased), of Washington, DC.

Page attended St. Camillus School (now St. Francis International School) in Silver Spring, Springbrook High School, and the University of Maryland in College Park. As a young person she received the American Red Cross Volunteer of the Year Awardwhen she was 15 years old for volunteering her summer to assist profoundly mentally handicapped teens at their summer camp. She was a gifted salesperson, receiving many awards for her work with Estee Lauder at Woodward and Lothrop where she worked for 22 years. She also worked at Bennigan’s and Bertucci’s where she was a popular hostess. In these positions she was known for her warmth, hospitality and for being personable at all times. After her marriage in 1996, she moved to New Dehli, India to accompany her husband on assignment at the US Embassy. She also worked as a teacher at the Montessori School at the Nuclear Regulatory Commission.

Exuberant, thoughtful, loyal and affectionate, Page exudedwarmth and was consistently sensitive to the well-being of others. Her network of friends and family was nurtured out of her ability to care for and about others. Page was a devoted “I Love Lucy” fan and shared her enthusiasm with everyone. Page touched people with her poetry and had a skill with words. She was gifted in creating beauty wherever she was and used herskills to create art for her loved ones. She had a keen eye for quality and expressed it through her avid baking, craft projects and her appreciation of jewelry. She was also a prolific collector of mini perfume bottles which she proudly displayed in her home. Her friends and family will remember her generosity of heart, compassion, witty sense of humor and kind and giving spirit.

She is survived by her husband, Ollie B. Ellison, her sisters, Tavia Covington of Rockville, Md , Courtney Covington of Indian Rocks Beach Fl, her brother, Platt Covington of Alexandria, Va, and her uncle Nicolas Barbarella of Va., and her aunt Rosemary Barbarella of Wheaton, Md. She was also the much loved Aunt of 7 nieces and nephews.
