He was born January 2, 1974 in Atlanta at Piedmont Hospital to Kenneth Elmore Roberts and Carolann Owen Roberts. Owen’s father preceded him in death. Owen grew up in Newnan and graduated from Newnan High School in 1992. He attended Georgia Southern University where he was a member of Pi Kappa Phi fraternity. Owen graduated with a degree in finance from the University of West Georgia and was a financial advisor with Roberts Financial Services. Owen was a gregarious person who made friends wherever he went and could always be found by his distinguishable laugh.
