Owen James Orton
Our beloved husband, father, grandfather, great- grandfather, and brother, Owen James Orton, passed away on November 4, 2016. Owen was born in the family home on 2100 North in North Ogden, to William H. and Evelyn May Montgomery Orton. He graduated from Weber High School in 1950. He married his high school sweetheart, Norene Burton, on February 11, 1950. They were later sealed for time and all eternity in the Salt Lake City Temple on May 21, 1952. He worked for Ogden City and Weber County Health Departments as an inspector for 32 years, as well as being a meat cutter at Kent’s Market in North Ogden. After he retired from the Health Department, he worked for 7 more years for Autoliv.
