Orie Clifton Bennett, 90 of Clarksburg passed away on Saturday, April 15, 2017 at Morganton Health & Rehab in Morgantown, WV, surrounded by his family. He was born April 6, 1927 in Mount Clare; the son of the late Silas Opha and Nancy May Reed Bennett.
Orie is survived by his one son, Ron Bennett & his wife, Arlene of Morgantown; a grandson, Aaron Bennett of Morgantown; several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Orie was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Jean (Louk) Bennett, who died on January 30, 2010; two brothers, Dorsey Glenn Bennett and Mason A Bennett.
Orie graduated from Buckhannon High School. He served in the United States Army. Orie retired from United Hospital Center. He also worked at Carnation Plant and Ingersol Rand for many years. He was an active member of the Center Branch Baptist Church. He was a loving father and grandfather, who took great pride in his family and friends.
