Opal Mae Wallace, 98, of Anderson, passed away on January 15, 2018 at the Lindberg Crossing in Anderson. She was born on December 5, 1919 in Muncie, and resided most of her life in Anderson. Opal graduated from Anderson High School in 1937.
She worked as a secretary for Anderson High School, and retired in 1981. Opal is survived by her loving daughter, Gaynelle Wallace of Anderson; grandsons, Christopher (Pam) Callender of WA, Brett (Jenica) Callender of Fairmount, and Dean Callender of Anderson; granddaughter, Amy Girt of Anderson; great-grandsons, Logan Callender, Nolan (Ekaterina) Callender, Clark Callender, Andrew Callender, and Ethan Callender; great-granddaughters, Stephanie (Sam) Crowell, Elizabeth Callender, Erica (Will) Johnson, Courtney (Aeryk) Kuna, and Caitlan Girt; and great-great-grandchildren, Karma, Oliver, Aubrey, Alexie, and Soran.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Oras E. Wallace; and parents, Robert S. and Gertrude M. (Stephenson) Hutchinson. The family would like to give a special thanks to the Mudd Family, and especially Susie and Tom Walker for their love and care.
