Mrs. Opal Grant Kee, age 85, of Newnan, passed gently from this life on October 13th at Country Gardens in Union City. She was born in Flatts, North Carolina on November 27, 1929 to the late Arthur Weldon and Maude Hester Grant.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband James Elliott Kee who died in 2002. Mrs. Kee received her Bachelor’s Degree in Education at West Georgia College. She was an educator for over 20 years and taught at Western School. She was a devoted member of Providence Baptist Church. She also volunteered as a Pink Lady at Newnan Hospital.
She is survived by her children; Janice Hammock and her husband Chip, Bonnie Jacobs and her husband Jake and Lisa Kee. She adored her grandchildren Ben Moore, Brooke Gunton and her husband Rusty, Trey Hammock and Maddie Jacobs. She was a great grandmother to Eli Moore, Audrey Moore, Ellis Gunton, Emmett Gunton and Elliott Gunton. She is survived by one sister, Joyce Young.
