Olivia Sage Thompson, age 9, of 927 Franklin Avenue, Salem, Ohio, died at 5:45 a.m. Saturday, November 10, 2012 at the Akron Children’s Hospital in Akron. She was born March 7, 2003 in Brewton, Alabama, the daughter of Billy and Elizabeth I. (Dickey) Thompson. Olivia was a 4th grade student at Reilly Elementary School and a member of the First United Methodist Church where she was a member of the Children’s Church Choir. She loved fishing, being outdoors and swimming. Her parents, Billy and Beth Thompson of Salem survive her along with a brother, Skylar Thompson of Baring, Missouri; maternal grandparents, Bill & Fran Dickey of Port Clinton, Ohio formerly of Salem; and paternal grandmother, Glenda Schulte of Brewton, Alabama; and many aunts, uncles and cousins. An aunt, Allison Fithian preceded her in death.
