Olivia Pina, was born on May 22, 1935 to Alfredo Arias and Anita Pina in Silver City. She spoke of many fond memories of her endearing family and friends throughout her life. Many sacrifices were made on her part in the name of love for her family. In her later years, Olivia enjoyed traveling with her family in the states of Arizona, California, Oregon, New Mexico, Hawaii, Virginia, Europe, Middle East and Southeast Asia. She shared her creativity through her love of crafts and the knowledge of her skills with others she touched in her life. Olivia was a beloved mom, sister, grandmother and aunt who touched many lives and hearts and her family always came first in her life. She will be forever missed.
Olivia is survived by one brother, Adolfo Ybarra; son, Raul “Randy” Parada (Adela); four daughters, Olga Placencio, Martha Pena (Steve), Terrie Norero (Mike) and Linda Pina; 17 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren; a special niece Darlene Sandoval and numerous nieces and nephews. Awaiting her in heaven are her parents, Anne Altamirano and Alfredo Arias; son, Lionel Silva; sister, Esperanza “Pinnie” Sandoval, grandson, Steven Paul Norero.
