Olivia Pena, 67, of Hurley passed away on,Tuesday, November 28, 2017 at her residence surrounded by her loving family.
Olivia was born on January 27, 1950 to Virginia Pinon and then adopted by Calixto and Virginia Ceballos. On September 13, 1969 she married Mike Pena, her high school sweetheart and love of her life. They had four children followed by many grandchildren and great grandchildren. Olivia was well known for her awesome cooking. She was extremely generous to everyone she loved and to strangers.
Olivia loved to go on picnics, be at family gatherings and bake during the Christmas season listening to Christmas songs. She worked at Bayard Food Basket for many years and loved her co-workers and customers. Olivia was a woman of great and unwavering faith in God and she will GREATLY be missed! She always had a kind word and wonderful advice to give to anyone who just needed to talk. Olivia was a special gift from God and we will always be grateful to Him for giving her to us!
Olivia is survived by her loving husband Mike; sons, Michael (Candace), Miklos (Betsi) and Aaron Pena (Salina); daughter, Michelle Abalos (Robert); brothers, Rojelio (Marcela), Valentin (Rosa Maria) and Gilberto Pinon; sisters, Berta Villanueva (Ramiro), Martha Villela (Ismael), Lucille Pinon, Maria Castro ( Vevo) and Gloria; 17 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, mother, Virginia Pinon and a brother, Emilio Pinon.
