Oliva L. Stryker, 101, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, August 21, 2013 at Holy Family Manor, Bethlehem, PA. She was the wife of the late Wallace P. Stryker of Gilboa, NY. Born in Corning, NY, Oliva was a daughter of the late Oliver and May Belle (Kiff) Lamb. She graduated from Northside High School in Corning, and went on to earn her BA from Cornell University, and later her MA from Middlebury College. She taught French and Latin classes at Gilboa Conesville Central High School for several years prior to dedicating her life to raising her family of four children.
