Mrs. Washkowich was born in Montreal, Canada, June 7, 1922, a daughter of the late Hilary and Marcella (Rusiak) Kropodra. She was raised and educated in Canada and immigrated to the United States in 1953, first settling in Detroit, Michigan and became an area resident in 1957.
