Yvonne Beatrice Libby, 83, of South Portland, ME, passed away May 12, 2013 unexpectedly, on Mother’s Day.
She was born in Hartford, CT on January 20, 1930. She was raised in Berlin, NH and attended High School at Notre Dame High School there. She also enjoyed working summers as a waitress in Old Orchard Beach. She retired at the age of 80, working many years for Talbots. She won many awards for her ability to sell clothing, and had many returning customers. She is a member of the Thornton Heights United Methodist church, and even at the age of 83, went to the gym three times a week.
She married the love of her life, Richard A. Libby in 1958. Together they enjoyed fishing, dancing and going to the beach. They raised two daughters and kept in constant contact with her family in Berlin. She thought the world of her little brother “Georgie”.
Yvonne is preceded by her parents, George and Yvonne Aubin, her sisters Theresa McVinker and Florence Woodbury.
Yvonne is survived by her husband Richard, of almost 55 years, daughters Michelle Caiazzo of Standish, ME and Pamela Libby of Portland, ME; brother George Aubin Jr of Berlin, NH; 4 grandchildren, Amber Caiazzo, Anthony Caiazzo, Cerise Caiazzo and Rochelle Caiazzo; great-grandson Donovan Caiazzo as well as many nieces and nephews.
