William Bernard Harris, 76, of St. Peters, MO, formerly of Cherryville, MO passed away Tuesday, September 8, 2009 at Barnes Jewish Hospital in St. Louis. He was born May 29, 1933 at Davisville, Missouri to James Thomas Harris and Bessie Jane Bettorf Harris.
He will be sadly missed by his brother, Tom Harris and wife Elma of Viburnum, MO; four sisters, Bonnie Barton of Davisville, MO, Betty Martin and husband Jim, Alline Cottrell and Ina Davis all of Steelville, MO; brother-in-law, Herman Hewkin of Davisville, MO; a special niece, Geraldine Black and husband Bill of Cherryville, MO; other nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters, Mildred Turnbough and husband Cletis and Violet Hewkin and two brothers-in-law, Vencil Cottrell and Gilbert Davis.
Bernard retired from Hussman Refrigeration in St. Louis after more than forty years.
He attended Midland Pentecostal Church.
Bernard loved listening to gospel music and always would share his music with family. He also enjoyed watching old movies, but most of all loved being near his family.
